The Lee County Tax Collector is proud to announce the addition of driver license services at the North Ft. Myers office. The services offered are limited to the following:

1. Transfer of Out of State Licenses and ID Cards(except CDL and certain Non U.S. Citizens)
   
   Your driver license or identification must be presented along with one of the following:
   1. Original or certified U.S. Birth Certificate
   2. Certificate of Naturalization
   3. Valid (Unexpired) U.S. Passport or Card
   YOU MUST ALSO PROVIDE-
   1. Proof of social security number (for example, social security card or any of the following showing your social security number: tax return, W-2 form, property tax statement, pay check, DD-214, school record)
   SPECIAL NOTES:
   Driver licenses or identification cards issued by other states will no longer be accepted as primary identification.
   
   Expired permanent resident cards or employment authorization cards will not be accepted as proof of identification or legal presence.
2. Renewal of Florida Licenses and ID Cards (except certain Non U.S. Citizens)
   1. Proof of social security number is required for renewals and replacements (for example, social security card or any of the following showing your social security number: tax return, W-2 form, property tax statement, pay check, DD-214, school record)
3. Florida CDL Renewals and Endorsements (excluding HAZMAT and other endorsements requiring testing)
4. Road Sign Test and Road Rules Test (Driving test – North Ft. Myers only)
5. Reinstatements for failure to pay traffic fines or failure to appear for traffic summons/child support – before and after suspension date

A $5.25 service fee will be added to driver license fees for transactions processed through the Tax Collector‘s office.

The Cape Coral office is located at 1039 SE 9th Avenue.
The Lehigh Acres office is located at 3114 Lee Boulevard Bldg-B Unit 6.
The North Ft. Myers office is located at 15201 N. Cleveland Avenue Suite 602.

Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (except for holiday closings).
