Permit Information

Anyone, unless otherwise exempted, wishing to hunt on a wildlife management area during a quota hunt must make and submit an application to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC). Prior to submitting an application, a sportsman's or gold sportsman's license, a management area permit, a permanent senior license, or a lifetime license must be purchased.

Applications and permits that are required may be obtained and/or purchased from FWC online at www.myfwc.com, from any Tax Collector's office, or subagents, however the actual permit(s) to participate in the quota hunts are issued directly to the applicant(s) from FWC.

  • Regular Quota Hunt - Permits the holder to hunt the first nine days of general gun season.
  • Special Quota Hunt - Permits the holder to hunt specific archery and muzzleloading gun hunts in addition to some general gun and modern gun hunts.
  • Spring Turkey Hunt - Permits the holder to hunt specific turkey hunts during the spring turkey season.
Please see the Hunting Handbook for quota hunt application deadlines.

There are no exemptions for residents 65 or older or the disability license holder.
