Cross Bow Permits
Cross bow permits allow the holder to use a
cross bow in Florida during any established archery only or archery/muzzleloading
gun season in Florida and during special archery hunts where the applicant has a
special quota hunt permit.
In order to qualify, the applicant must meet one of the following
requirements:
- Be at least 80% permanently disabled in one hand or arm as determined using
the standards outlined in the "Guide to Evaluation of Permanent Impairment
Rating", published by the American Medical Association.
- Be permanently unable to ambulate without the aid of crutches, wheelchair,
two leg braces or two leg prostheses.
- Be incapable of drawing any type of bow with a minimum draw weight of 40
lbs.
The applicant must submit an "Attestation of Permanent
Disability" form, completed and signed by a Florida physician, to:
