PURCHASE COUNTY CERTIFICATES
County held certificates may be purchased after the tax certificate sale, prior to redemption or execution of a tax deed. The cost to purchase a county held certificate is the face value of the certificate, accrued interest and a $6.25 processing fee.
Eligibility to purchase county held certificates requires Lee County buyer registration. If you are not currently registered, please contact our office at email@example.com.
Purchase requests will be received on a first come, first served basis.

County held certificates are available for purchase by sending a request to our office with the delinquent amount due for the month of transfer in certified funds (cashier’s check or money order). The initial purchase must be accompanied with an IRS form W-9 or W-8.
Requests to purchase tax certificate(s) made online should be in an attached Excel spreadsheet, Word document, text file, or as a list in the body of the email in one single column. The format of the certificate numbers must be as follows: xx-012345 or xx012345

Submit the form W-9 and list of requested certificates to our office by mail at:

The certificates are issued to the investor based on the order the payment is received. Allow a minimum of 5 business days from the day the payment is received by the Tax Collector for your transaction to be completed. We will follow this process for all requests hand delivered, received by email, or postal mail.
