Important Update - Driver License Renewal

Effective Monday, February 15th the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) will make the following updates to any Florida driver with a Class E driver license:

 - Any Florida driver with a Class E driver license, who has not operated a motor vehicle for one year or more, will be required to complete and pass the Class E knowledge exam in order to obtain their license.  

- Customers who have allowed their Class E driver license to expire for one year or more, whether due to a license sanction or downgrading to an identification card, will be required to complete the Class E knowledge exam and vision exam prior to obtaining an original Class E driver license. 
 
- Customers who have completed the Class E knowledge exam that has not been applied to an issuance within one year of the exam date, are not valid for issuance and will require retesting.

Class E Knowledge testing is available at all service centers by appointment. Road tests are available at North Fort Myers and South Fort Myers service centers by appointment. Appointments for road tests can be made by clicking here.
