County held certificates may be purchased after the tax certificate sale, prior to redemption or execution of a tax deed. The cost to purchase a county held certificate is the face value of the certificate, accrued interest and a $6.25 processing fee. Purchase requests will be received on a first come, first served basis.

County held certificates are available for purchase by sending a request to our office with the amount due for the month of transfer in certified funds (cashier’s check or money order). The initial purchase must be accompanied with an IRS form W-9 or W-8.”

Requests to purchase tax certificate(s) made online should be in an attached Excel spreadsheet, Word document, text file, or as a list in the body of the email in one single column. The format of the certificate numbers must be as follows:  xx-012345 or xx012345
