Effective Thursday, March 19th, all Lee County Tax Collector service center locations will be closed to the public until further notice.  The safety of our customers and staff is the highest priority for the Lee County Tax Collector.  All customers can continue to complete transactions by calling (239) 533-6000, online or by mail.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will re-evaluate public access at our office locations as soon as possible.  

Thursday, April 2nd, 2020: The Lee County Tax Collector will be re-opening it's Call Center on Monday, April 6th.  At that time, customers will be able to call (239) 533-6000, or dial #TAX on their mobile phones, and an LCTC staff member will be able to assist them with their questions. 


Tuesday, March 31st, 2020:  The Lee County Tax Collector will be offering auto dealers the opportunity to drop-off paperwork and accompanying payments on Thursday, April 2nd and Friday, April 3rd, between the hours of 9am and 12pm, at the Downtown Fort Myers Service Center.  Dealers will have the opportunity to drop-off their paperwork in either a secured drop box, or with a Lee County Tax Collector staff member.  For more information, please email DealerAll@LeeTC.com


Saturday, March 28th, 2020: The Department of Homeland Security has extended the deadline for Real ID compliance.  The new deadline is October 1st, 2021.  For more information, visit the DHS website.

Thursday, March 26, 2020: The Florida Department of Revenue has issued an extension for property taxes.  All property taxes paid by April 15th will be considered on time.  For more information, please visit the Department of Revenue.

 

Wednesday, March 18, 2020: Effective immediately, all Concealed Weapon services have been suspended until further notice.  This includes applications, renewal services, and appointments.  Please visit The Florida Department of Agriculture's North Port office for more information.


Tuesday, March 17, 2020: Effective immediately, all Lee County Tax Collector Service Centers will be implementing CDC and Department of Health recommendations to minimize large groups.  This includes limiting our lobby capacity throughout the day.  For more information, please call (239) 533-6000.


Monday, March 16, 2020: Per Executive Order 20-52, Florida drivers with licenses or ID cards expiring between March 16 through April 15, 2020 will have a 30 day extension to renew their identification.  Any delinquent renewal fees will be waived.  More information can be found at the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle Department.
